   I have a unique problem…I am missing half of my middle finger on my left hand and have a lot of trouble playing some cords. Are there alternative cords I can use? Or is my only hope to go with a left-handed guitar?

   Fortunately a lot of chords are only played with three fingers. If you want to stick to the right-handed guitar you would have to become a creative guitar player and invent your own way of playing, find away around standard chords and find solutions to your obstacles. Django Reinhardt (famous gypsy guitar player) had only two fingers and Jeff Healey (famous blues guitar) was blind and developed his unique style of playing the instrument flat on his lap. So where there is a will there is a way. Hope these encouraging words will spark something inside of you.
