Easy Minor Pentatonic Blues Lick – Key of E

Buenos días amigos de la guitarra, today I’ll be teaching an easy basic blues guitar lick in the key of E. Blues is usually played in the key of E or in the key of A, so for today I decided it’s gonna be key of E.

On a side note, I’ll be continuing the major scale shape/position series real soon, but I thought it would be nice to give you some more time to get the first three major scales shapes really under your belt.

EASY BASIC MINOR PENTATONIC BLUES LICK – KEY OF E

This E minor pentatonic blues lick is really nice for beginners and intermediate players. You can play it over a 12 bar blues in the key of E or an Em chord progression.

Hey awesome people, how are you today? It’s time for the 3rd position of the major scale. We’re going to learn all 5 scale shape / positions related to the CAGED system to be able to play around the entire fretboard.

3rd Position Major Scale

Once you’ve learned the 1st position and 2nd position of the major scale thoroughly you can safely continue to learn the 3rd position, also referred to as the C-shape position of the major scale. (See video lesson).

Dear fellow guitar players, today I want to teach you how to play the 2nd position of the major scale. Learning the major scale is crucial if you want to become an accomplished guitar player.

2nd Position Major Scale

Once you’ve learned the 1st position of the major scale you can continue your journey by learning the 2nd position, also referred to as the D-shape position of the major scale. (See video lesson for more details on that).

Beautiful Pentatonic Blues Lick in the Key of A

Hi everyone, Today you’re gonna learn an easy cool blues lick with a nice flavor to it. It’s lovely weather outside and this lick represents how I feel today. This is a blues lick I really like. I hope you like it too!

In this video, I’ll take you through every step of playing this beautiful lick, from the fret positions and fingerings to the phrasing and picking technique. With clear instructions and close-up shots of the fretboard, you’ll be able to follow along and master this classic blues lick in no time.

Beautiful Pentatonic Blues Lick in the Key of A

The blues lick is in the key of A and is a pentatonic lick with an added 6th note. The added 6th (6th note of the A major scale) gives the lick that tasteful sweetness to make it sound more interesting.
