Easy Classical Guitar Etude

By Klaus Crow Leave a Comment

Today I have a nice short, mid-easy classical guitar etude for you with some beautiful sounding chords and a Klaus twist. I studied classical guitar from a private teacher for a couple of years and I learned a lot from that. These days I focus more on blues, pop and rock guitar, but I always have a special place in my heart for classical guitar.

Enjoy the lesson!

Combine Chords with Melody

By Klaus Crow 5 Comments

Today we’re going to combine chords and melody using a G – C – D ( I – IV – V ) chord progression. This is a fun one that you’ll enjoy practicing. See the video lesson and Tabs below.

Video Lesson

Combining Chords with Melody

You can play this sweet little melody between the chords of G – C and D, but once you got those comfortable under your fingers you can also use others chord derived from the G major scale like: G – Am- Bm – C – D – Em – F#dim – G. Okay F#dim will be your least favorite, but the others chords will sound great around the melody.

Enjoy experimenting and have fun!

To Love Somebody Guitar Lesson

By Klaus Crow 2 Comments

Today I’m going to teach you one of my favorite songs “To Love Somebody” by The Bee Gees. This song is covered by lots of people including Janis Joplin, Michael Bolton and my favorite cover version by Damien Rice & Ray La Montagne.

To Love Somebody – Guitar Lesson

I’ll teach you the most simplified version of this song, so it’s going to be in the key of D. The chords for this song are D – G – Em – C – A.

I will teach you two different strumming patterns, a very common strumming pattern for this type of song and a simplified strumming pattern for beginners.

common strumming pattern: ↓↓↑↑↓↓↓↑ = down – down – up – up – down – down – down – up

Simple strumming pattern: ↓↓↑↑↓↓ = down – down – up – up – down – down

Watch the video guitar lesson below to learn this amazing song. This is a must-learn-song! ;)

Please share your feedback in the comments below or on Youtube. I read and reply to everyone of them. I’d love to hear from you! 💚🎸
