Hi Aum,

If you take a good look at your playing you are the person who knows best what to improve. Teachers or senior musicians can help you out how to improve.
Ask them specific questions about what you want to know instead of asking them to judge your playing. Listen and observe your favorite guitar players and see what can you learn from them.
Do you feel you sound as good as they do? Do you feel your technique is as good as it can be? Do you know everything about theory there is to know? How happy are you with your songwriting skills? How well do you improvise?
What is it that you want to learn or where you need to improve ? Ask them to explain what you want to know and how they do it. Again be specific.

Good luck and thanks for the comment!

Klaus

I'm really happy I am practicing 9 of the 11 points you have mentioned. Now i know what more I can do to continue feeling inspired. One thing that really inspires me is feedback from senior musicians. Many praise and encourage me, but very few will tell me my bad points because they don't want to offend me. What's the best way to ask a better musician to mentor you? Thanks Again... I'm addicted to your posts :)

Hi Walter,

Bliss is the right word.

Some people would say: "Music speaks louder than words"

One of my greatest inspiration and motivation is music. Listening alone inside my room, I experience a moment of bliss. :-)
